| ROGER H. TAFT Roger was born on January 2nd, 1952 and live in Milwaukee, WI. He comes from a large family, four boys and one girl. Ever since his first job as a paperboy for the Milwaukee Journal he has worked for someone else in one form or another. As for his career, while still attending high school at the age of 17, he followed in my father’s footsteps and began working in a machine shop. And to this day, some 30 years later he is an accomplished Machinist. Roger married at the age of 20 and has a son who is now going to be 33. No longer married, but is the very proud grandfather to two girls and one boy and they are what keep him young at heart. Roger always loved working with my hands. Woodworking is the perfect medium to explore his creativity and release the inner ability to form custom beautiful pieces out of rough untapped treasures. His first taste of woodworking was in high school, but due to other priorities in life he was unable to pursue this hobby. About four years ago Roger was able to manage his time and allow himself to seriously pursue the hobby. And that is where he is now. Making custom wood treasures for himself, family, and now possibly you. Roger does all his wood crafting at home, both in his basement or garage, and by his hand. Each piece is touched and shaped by him as if it was his own. When it comes to woodcrafts, Roger is a stickler for detail. He tries to quote a time for a custom job, but if its not done up to his standards, it might take a little longer than expected, but you will get the best it can possibly be. Roger is an animal lover. He as never hunted and killing animals for sport really upsets him. He lost his best friend of 16 years, his dog Taz, and he still has not fully recovered. Roger hopes to some day be his own boss, set his own hours, and take a trip to Australia. The land down under has always fascinated him. Thanks for visiting my website! |
